Though lacking facilities and instructors, the Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) Geology Department still managed to improve its licensure rank from being the last in the list last year to being third this year. However, despite the development, only three of the eleven NORSU Geology graduates passed the licensure exam last August 7-9, 2007.
NEGROS ORIENTAL STATE University (NORSU) Student Government supports the program of the Philippine Mental Health Association (PMHA).
A CEBU-BASED company offers jobs to Norsunians and expresses its willingness to help in their studies.
