Second University President

An educator for almost three decades, Dr. Don Vicente C. Real is Negros Oriental State University’s (NORSU) second president, succeeding Dr. Henry A. Sojor whose term of office ended on July 12, 2012 (eight years after NORSU was converted from a state college, Central Visayas Polytechnic College or CVPC to a state university on June 25, 2004 through Republic Act 9299).

Prior to his election as NORSU President for a 4-year term (from July 12, 2012 to July 13, 2016) by the Board of Regents, he served as Campus Administrator of NORSU-Bais Campus II in Bais City from June 1, 2008 to July 10, 2012 and Assistant Campus Administrator for Academic, Research and Extension of NORSU-Bais Campuses I & II from May 3, 2005 to May 31, 2008. He also served as Research Coordinator, NORSU-Bais Campuses I & II from January 5, 2008 to June 2012.
