Mission and Goals

  • To train maritime students to meet the national and global quality standard requirements of instructions and licensing certificates for the practice of their profession.
  • To produce competent Deck and Engineers Officers and Radio Operators who are morally upright person imbued with a high sense of honor, loyalty and discipline befitting the maritime position.
  • To develop well-rounded professionals by enriching the maritime curricula with knowledge of the arts, sciences and the humanities.
  • To strengthen the maritime education and industry as well as a closer relationship establishing linkages with other maritime institution and maritime related sectors in business and government.

Objectives

  • To provide opportunities for the development of gentlemen and officers through rigorous disciplinary training.
  • To graduate a technical man equipped with knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of seamanship and navigation, internal combustion engineering.
  • To instill in the students the value of truth, justice and love of humanity.
  • To foster patriotism, naturalism and respect for human rights through curriculum and co-curricular activities.
  • To adhere to the requirements of the international maritime organization.
  • To organize community-outreach activities through research and extension programs.
