Mission and Goals

To train maritime students to meet the national and global quality standard requirements of instructions and licensing certificates for the practice of their profession.
To produce competent Deck and Engineers Officers and Radio Operators who are morally upright person imbued with a high sense of honor, loyalty and discipline befitting the maritime position.
To develop well-rounded professionals by enriching the maritime curricula with knowledge of the arts, sciences and the humanities.
To strengthen the maritime education and industry as well as a closer relationship establishing linkages with other maritime institution and maritime related sectors in business and government.

Objectives

To provide opportunities for the development of gentlemen and officers through rigorous disciplinary training.
To graduate a technical man equipped with knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of seamanship and navigation, internal combustion engineering.
To instill in the students the value of truth, justice and love of humanity.
To foster patriotism, naturalism and respect for human rights through curriculum and co-curricular activities.
To adhere to the requirements of the international maritime organization.
To organize community-outreach activities through research and extension programs.
